Students showcasing their collection during FABCT Launch |
Ludhiana, March 12, 2019 (News Team): CT University’s School of Design and Innovation has launched its own Clothing brand with the aim to design, customize and retail the garments under the brand FABCT. The dresses would be designed by students, giving them hands on experience as well.
Further elaborating about the FABCT, Ar Geetanjali Kapoor, Head of School, Design and Innovation stated, “This will be indulging the students into manufacturing and production so that they will know the marketing skills and generate income. The FABCT store will be opened for public and a retail outlet in university campus with access to all outside customers will be provided. The garments will start from an economical and affordable range to higher segment too depending upon its design and work details. The cost will merely start from Rs. 400/- onwards per garment.”
Congratulating the team and appreciating the hard work of students, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor said, “The cloth we are using is Muslin and that is our pride, our own wealth. Though we lost our pure Muslin fabric and its technology yet we have its derivatives. Our technology becomes smart and developed. So we need to try to make Muslin fabric by our own effort. Hence, making it more versatile by preparing dresses out of it, than keeping it limited till home furnishings. I congratulate the efforts of the whole team behind this”
