Ludhiana, August 26, 2019 (Akash Sharma): The air was infused with excitement and thrill on 26th August, 2019 as Sat Paul Mittal School, in association with Univariety, organized a Career Fair for the students of Classes XI and XII. Seven noted universities from across the nation were invited to help the students identify their vocational interests and align these with the choice of the courses offered by them.
The objective of the school behind this fair was to provide high-school students a platform to collaborate with their dream universities in India to make informed career choices. The universities apprised the parents, the students and the teachers of the innumerable courses on offer, admission criteria, and admission process.
The resource persons from various Universities like Ashoka University, OP Jindal Global University, Bennett University, Indian Institute of Art and Design, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Anant National University and World University of Design gave the students an insight into the various courses offered at their respective institutes. The career fair was truly an experiential learning for the student fraternity as the resource persons from OP Jindal and Ashoka universities conducted a Group Discussion to discuss best practices to ace a personal interview round and write a good Statement of Purpose.
The Career Fair was a pivotal initiative in providing the educators, students and parents an opportunity to work in partnership on optimizing career options and take well-informed decisions pertaining to their careers rationally.
