Ludhiana, August 19, 2019 (Akash Sharma): The Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) conducted Regional Level Swimming Competition for the students of ICSE schools at Sat Paul Mittal School on 19th August, 2019. Gurpreet Kaur, Head, Senior School extended a warm welcome to the participants and the officials. 127 participants competed in different categories in various events in Senior, Junior and Sub- Junior (Boys and Girls) Categories, respectively. The participants showcased their swimming skills and techniques with immense enthusiasm. Sister Stella Maria, Principal of St. Mary Convent School, Jalandhar was the observer of the event. The Chief Guest of the day Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School was impressed by the agility, endurance and fervor displayed by the participants. She congratulated and applauded the winners along with the other participants for their sportive feats and suggested the children for more participation to ensure a complete growth of mind and body.
In 100 mtr Free Style (Senior Boys) - Saksham Thakur of Sat Paul Mittal School won first prize and Jaruwit Lal Ratna of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla won second prize. In in 50 mtr free style (Sub-Junior Girls), Nisa Arora of Sat Paul Mittal School won first prize and Vanya Gupta of Sat Paul Mittal School won second prize. In 50 mtr Free Style (Sub- Junior Boys), Adhiraj Singh Mangat of Sat Paul Mittal School won first prize and Kabir of Sacred Heart School, Gurgaon won second prize. In 100mtr Free Style (Junior Boys), Daksheesh Singhania of Sat Paul Mittal School won first prize and Maninder Pal Singh of SJCS, Hoshiarpur. In 200 mtr Back Stroke (Senior Girls), Ria Khosla of Sat Paul Mittal School won first prize and Tanisha of Holy Heart Public School, Amritsar won second prize.
The students of Sat Paul Mittal School made a clean sweep grabbing top honours in the sub-junior, junior and senior sections in the boys’ as well as girls’ groups. The overall trophy was won by Sat Paul Mittal School.
